Customer Account Manager (Metering)


As a Customer Account Manager within the Metering Team, you will work closely with other departments and peers to provide an effective, passionate and responsive customer service experience from end to end.  This is a hands-on role working in a fun, fast-paced and proactive environment. You will be required to communicate with customers via email and over the phone, ensuring excellent quality of service and being the ‘friendly face’ of Flow to all of our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Handling and resolving complex customer and third party enquiries over the telephone or via email.
  • Consistently deliver a high standard of customer service as per the business objectives.
  • Logging, escalating and closing customer complaints as per the business objectives.
  • Using the appropriate format to book daily appointments for Faulty Meters which require Meter Exchanges including F.I.T contracts, Relocating a Meter, Meter Reads, Investigations and Emergency Jobs (Off Supply)
  • Liaising with third party agents to request Meter Technical Details and Opening Reads, also to Investigate and rectify Transposed MTDS and Opening Reads, Appointment and De Appointment of Agents
  • Monitoring and responding to all correspondence sent to the Metering Mailbox, including Updating XOSERVE and ECOES with address amendments and requests from the Trading /Settlements Team.



  • Previous experience in customer services or a customer facing role (e.g. retail, sales, business development).

  • IT: Word, Excel and Outlook.



This is a permanent, full-time role based at Flow Energy in Ipswich, Suffolk.  37.5 hours per week ( Monday to Friday – 8.00am to 8.00pm) based in Ipswich , Suffolk
